Terms of Service

This is a plain-language draft of the terms under which FinEase operates today. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer and should be treated as a starting point, not a final legal document, before any commercial launch.

1. Acceptance

By creating a FinEase account or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use FinEase.

2. What FinEase is — and isn't

FinEase is a personal net-worth tracking tool. You manually record what you own, owe, and hold in insurance, and FinEase calculates one net-worth number and a set of generic, educational ratios (such as liquidity, debt load, protection gap, and goal progress).

FinEase is not investment, insurance, tax, or legal advice. FinEase is not a SEBI-registered investment adviser, is not an insurance broker or agent, and is not a lender. Nothing shown in the app is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any specific fund, stock, policy, or loan product. For advice tailored to your situation, consult a licensed professional.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a binding agreement to use FinEase. One account per person.

4. Your account

FinEase uses passwordless sign-in: a one-time 6-digit code sent to your email. You're responsible for keeping access to that email account secure, since it is effectively your login credential.

5. Your data, your responsibility

FinEase does not connect to any bank, broker, or insurer — every figure you see is only as accurate as what you entered. You're responsible for keeping your records reasonably up to date if you want the numbers to remain meaningful.

6. Household sharing

If you choose to create or join a household, other members see a view-only rollup of totals — never your individual line items, account numbers, or notes. You can leave a household at any time.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to: misuse the service, attempt to access another user's account or data, reverse-engineer or scrape the app, or use FinEase for any unlawful purpose.

8. Your data rights

You own the data you enter. You can export a full copy of it, or permanently delete your account and all associated data, at any time from Settings. Account deletion is immediate and irreversible.

9. Termination

You may stop using FinEase and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe these terms have been violated.

10. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

FinEase is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, ThakurNtech is not liable for financial decisions made based on information shown in the app, or for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from its use.

11. Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the effective date above will be updated, and material changes will be called out in the app.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India.
